Saint-Tropez by night

Saint-Tropez invented a certain idea of the Riviera night: barefoot parties on the beach, dinners that end on the tables and clubs where the sun rises over the Gulf. Here is how a perfect evening unfolds, from the first aperitif to the last dance.

7 pm · The aperitif on the port

The evening begins on the port, in front of the yachts. Take a seat on the famous red terrace of Sénéquier, an institution of the quay, to watch the village come alive, then stroll towards the Môle Jean Réveille as the sun sets behind the hills of the Gulf.

Sunset on the beach

If you prefer sand to cobblestones, head to Pampelonne. At Indie Beach, the sunset hour comes with cocktails and DJ sets, and the atmosphere slowly shifts from lunch to party. At Bagatelle, lunch famously ends with dancing, while Club Les Palmiers offers a more relaxed setting under its palm trees.

Dinner that turns into a party

In Saint-Tropez, the line between restaurant and club is thin. At Gaïo, Japanese-Peruvian dishes are followed by music and a festive crowd. On Place des Lices, Pablo and Nao keep the energy high late into the evening, and on the port, Noto mixes Italian cuisine and a party atmosphere.

Midnight · The legendary clubs

The great names of the Tropezian night are within a few streets of each other. Les Caves du Roy, at the Hôtel Byblos, has been the mythical club of Saint-Tropez since the late 1960s. The VIP Room is another emblem of the village nights, and Sanctum brings a newer, electronic energy to the scene.

Our advice for a perfect night

Reserve your table. In high season, the best clubs and restaurant-clubs work almost exclusively on table reservations: book ahead, especially at weekends.

Do not drive. Parking is scarce and the roads of the peninsula are busy at night. Our chauffeurs take you there and bring you back to the villa, whatever the hour.
